# Car Chase Shorts Turn a driver/character image and a chase idea into a vertical 10-second action-beat short, then optionally continue it as a series, combine episodes, and add background music. ## When to use - The user wants a car-chase action short from a character/driver image and/or a chase idea - They want the next episode of an existing chase series (sequel) - They want to combine finished episodes into one video, or add background music to the combined video - They want to redo one shot or revise the plan ## Reference files - `references/shot-planning.md`: how to plan an action-beat chase episode (shot structure, camera, sound). Read before writing the storyboard. ## Steps ### 1. Plan the episode (storyboard) 1. If the user uploaded a driver/character image, register it as the lead's identity reference and `recognize_image` it for visible content (appearance, wardrobe, car). If they uploaded a car image, use it as the vehicle reference. 2. Read `references/shot-planning.md` and write an **action-beat** storyboard: **8–9 fast-cut shots** in 10 seconds, structured engage → combo → land. Each shot uses action grammar (verb + body part/prop + direction + result), one main camera move, and one lead sound. 3. Keep the lead's identity consistent across all episodes (same face, hair, wardrobe, and the same vehicle). 4. Dialogue is **0–1 line** (a short shout). No background music unless the user asks. 5. Show the plan to the user (storyboard with shot table, cast, references, sound). Do not generate video before showing the plan. ### 2. Lock character stills - If the lead already has an uploaded still, reuse it (do not regenerate). If not, generate one character still with `generate_image` (`model='t2i'`, `orientation='landscape'`, `resolution='720P'`, `entity_type='characters'`). ### 3. Generate the 10-second episode - Call `generate_video` with `model='ref2v'`, `input_urls=[lead still uri]`, `duration=10`, `orientation='portrait'`, `resolution='480P'`, `entity_type='storyboard_videos'`. Prompt is a full English shot-by-shot description of the chase. ### 4. Sequels (next episode) - When the user asks for the next episode, continue from the previous last frame (same driver, same vehicle, same world). Plan a new 10-second action beat as a sequel, reuse the inherited lead still, and generate it the same way. ### 5. Combine episodes / background music - **Combine:** when the user wants episodes combined, call `mix_clips` with the finished episode masters in order (`entity_type='final_videos'`). Keep the same vehicle consistent across all episodes. - **Background music:** first `generate_music` (`model='music'`, `entity_type='work_in_progress'`, `add_to_canvas=false`) with an instrumental action-underscore prompt (no vocals, no lyrics, no seconds), then `mix_clips` restacking the episode masters with the music at `volume=0.3` (`entity_type='final_videos'`). ## Notes - Keep the user's original wording for any dialogue; keep image/video/music prompts in English. - Report failures honestly; never fabricate URLs. Video generation does not support adult/NSFW content. - Intermediate episode videos are visible on the canvas; the final combined cut is the deliverable. - On success, summarize in natural film language (title, shot count, status) and offer next actions (next episode, combine, background music, start a new short).
