Never a fight scene — the tension of not drawing. ## When to use - The user asks for 侍, 武士, 剣戟, or a katana video. - The user wants a Japanese sword-craft or brand film. - The user wants a vertical samurai short for TikTok / Shorts / Reels. - The user uploads a samurai reference clip and wants an original piece. Do **not** use this skill for: gore, beheadings, or real historical figures — see Notes. ## Steps ### 0. Clarify — the blade decides the film Call `write_todos` with the plan: clarify → (optional) reference analysis → choose the setting → storyboard → stills → shots → sound → edit. Ask only what you still need: 1. **Which subject?** — 日本刀そのもの / 侍の所作 / 刀鍛冶の仕事 2. **Which hour?** — 朝霧 / 夕陽 / 夜の行灯 3. **Draw or not draw?** — 抜かない緊張 / 抜いた一瞬 4. **Frame?** — landscape 16:9 / portrait 9:16 Read the choice back in one Japanese line and get a yes. ### 1. Reference analysis (only if the user supplies a clip or image) ``` recognize_video(video_url=<url>, prompt='Analyse this as a Japanese samurai / katana film. Report: the light and hour, average shot length, how static the camera is, how much of the frame is a close-up, whether people are shown face-on, and the sound design. Do not describe the plot.') ``` For a YouTube / TikTok / Instagram link, resolve it first with `download_video(url=...)`. Turn the answer into a short treatment note and read it back. Then build an **original** piece. ### 2. Storyboard — 8 beats, about 30 seconds | # | Beat | Length | What happens | |---|---|---|---| | 1 | 刀架 | 4s | A katana on a stand, dust in a shaft of light | | 2 | 鞘 | 4s | Macro of the scabbard, lacquer, the cord | | 3 | 手 | 4s | A hand resting on the hilt, not moving | | 4 | 目 | 4s | Eyes lowered, breath visible in cold air | | 5 | 間 | 5s | Wider frame: the room, the shoji, the silence | | 6 | 抜刀 | 4s | One motion — the blade catches the light | | 7 | 光 | 5s | The blade edge, macro, still | | 8 | 納刀 | 4s | The blade returns. Hold on the empty room | **Rule: the sword is shown far more than the person, and the draw happens once** ### 3. 日本語での作法 — what makes it Japanese **All on-screen text is Japanese. No English anywhere.** **侍の符号(必ずどれかを入れる)** - 日本刀、刀身、刃文、鐔、柄巻、鞘 - 刀架、白布、畳、障子、行灯 - 黒と藍の衣、袴、足袋、帯 - 朝霧、夕陽、埃、息 - 所作:正座、黙礼、抜刀、納刀 - 小物:懐紙、扇子、香 **光** One hard light source raking across the blade; everything else falls to near-black. Cold blue for dawn, deep amber for dusk. **音** Breath, cloth, lacquer clicking, a single drawn-out metal ring. Almost no music — one low drone at most. **テロップ** - One line only: `刃に、心を。` — mincho, white, small, bottom ### 4. Stills ``` generate_image(model='t2i', prompt='Japanese samurai still life: a katana resting on a black lacquered stand in a dim tatami room, one shaft of cold morning light raking across the blade, dust in the air, deep shadows, no people, no text, cinematic, subtle grain', name='刀架', entity_type='storyboard_images', orientation='landscape') ``` ``` generate_image(model='i2i', input_urls=[<user asset>], prompt='the exact same katana and stand, but the light is now deep amber dusk and a hand rests on the hilt, no face, no text', name='手', entity_type='storyboard_images') ``` ### 5. Shots ``` generate_video(model='i2v', input_urls=[<still asset>], prompt='almost completely static: dust drifting through the shaft of light, the blade edge holding a single highlight, very slow camera push, no people, no camera shake', name='光', entity_type='storyboard_videos', orientation='landscape') ``` Keep `orientation` identical across every shot; never write a physical model name — channels only. ### 6. Sound ``` generate_music(model='music', prompt='Japanese samurai ambience: near-silence, a low taiko hit far away, one long sust
