AI Trailer Maker
A logline in. A finished 45–90 second trailer out. A trailer is not a short film — it is withheld information. Fragments, escalating rhythm, title cards, one sound that drops out right before the end, then one impact. WHAT IT DOES • Builds a nine-beat trailer shape: studio card, world, character, crack, escalation, SILENCE, impact, title card, stinger • Shoots 16–24 shots with real rhythm — 3–4s in the opening, 0.8–1.5s in the escalation • Keeps four or more shots with no person, so it breathes instead of showing faces • Builds the title card package: the title alone, then one release line. Nothing else • Scores it with a rise, a hard cut to near-silence, and exactly one impact • Delivers portrait 9:16 or landscape 16:9, with a 30-second teaser cut available WHAT MAKES IT GOOD • The silence at the midpoint is the trailer — without it, everything is just loud • Escalation cuts land on percussion, never on an even grid • Short shots tolerate strong motion; long shots stay calm. Motion is matched to length • One palette, one lens — a trailer with three looks reads as a montage GOOD FOR Movie and series trailers, teasers, book trailers, game trailers, story-to-trailer, character reveals, vertical hype cuts for TikTok / Shorts / Reels. NOT FOR Complete stories with a resolved ending (use the short-film skill instead), music videos, or product ads. No recreation of existing trailers, no fabricated review quotes or awards. Original work only. Give it one line — "a lighthouse keeper who starts receiving letters from the future" — and it will cut the trailer.

A trailer is not a short film — it is **withheld information**: fragments, escalating rhythm, title cards, and one sound that drops out right before the end. ## When to use - The user gives a **logline, story, script or book** and wants a trailer. - The user wants a **teaser, hype cut, game trailer, or book trailer**. - The user has **clips** and wants them cut as a trailer. - The user wants a **title card package** with a release line. - The user wants a vertical hype cut for TikTok / Shorts / Reels. Do **not** use this for: a complete story with a resolved ending (that is a short film), a music video, or a product ad — see Notes. ## Steps ### 0. Intake — what is being withheld Call `write_todos`: intake → world bible → beat sheet → shot list → stills → shots → cards → sound → cut → deliver. Ask at most **three** questions: 1. **What is the premise in one line?** — genre plus situation. 2. **What is the one image people should remember?** — the poster frame. 3. **What is being withheld?** — the question the trailer refuses to answer. If the user gives one line, choose 2 and 3 yourself and say so. ### 1. World bible ``` memory_query(query='trailer world, title treatment, palette, previous cuts for this user') ``` Store it so a series of trailers stays consistent: ``` memory_store(key='trailer_world_<slug>', value='<title>; <genre>; <palette: 2 dominant + accent>; <typeface treatment>; <signature motif>; <release line>') ``` ### 2. Beat sheet — the shape of a trailer | # | Beat | Length | Function | |---|---|---|---| | 1 | スタジオカード | 2s | One logo-less card. Silence or a single tone | | 2 | 世界の提示 | 8s | 2–3 wide shots, slow, no faces | | 3 | 人物 | 8s | Who it is about. One look, one gesture | | 4 | 亀裂 | 8s | Something is wrong; faster cuts begin | | 5 | エスカレーション | 12s | 6–8 very short shots, rising | | 6 | 静寂 | 3s | Total drop-out. One image. The withheld thing | | 7 | 最後の一撃 | 6s | The loudest shot, one impact | | 8 | タイトルカード | 4s | Title, then release line | | 9 | スティンガー | 2s | One extra beat after the card | **≈53s.** Stretch 5 and add a second escalation for a 90-second cut. The **silence at beat 6** is the trailer. Without it, everything is just loud. ### 3. Shot list — 16 to 24 shots A trailer uses **more, shorter shots** than a film. Rules: - **Average shot length in the escalation: 0.8–1.5s.** In the opening: 3–4s. - **One idea per shot**, and no shot needs to be understood on its own. - **Four shots minimum with no person** — landscape, object, texture, light. - **The withheld thing is never shown clearly.** Silhouette, edge, back, reflection. - **The poster frame is its own shot** and is the best-lit frame in the piece. | Section | Shots | Average length | |---|---|---| | Opening | 3 | 3–4s | | Character | 3 | 2–3s | | Crack | 4 | 1.5–2s | | Escalation | 8–10 | 0.8–1.5s | | Silence | 1 | 3s | | Impact | 1–2 | 0.5–1s | | Cards | 2 | 2–4s | ### 4. Stills ``` generate_image( model='i2i', input_urls=[<world asset>], prompt='<shot>: <subject>, <framing>, <palette>, <light source>, trailer still, dramatic, no text', name='T07 — <slug>', entity_type='storyboard_images', orientation='<portrait|landscape>' ) ``` Keep one palette and one lens language. **A trailer with three looks reads as a montage.** ### 5. Shots — motion is punctuation ``` generate_video( model='i2v', input_urls=[<shot still>], prompt='<one motion: fast push / whip / falling / subject walking toward camera / static with a light flicker>, dramatic, no camera shake', name='T07 — <slug>', entity_type='storyboard_videos', orientation='<same>' ) ``` Short shots tolerate strong motion; *
