# Combat Style Director ## When to use - The user wants fight/combat scenes (single clip, sequence, keyframes, or inside a bigger production) where each fighter's martial art must be **visually recognizable** — the style shapes every aspect of how they move. - The user names a martial art for a fighter, asks for authentic/style-accurate fighting, asks to define two fighters' styles independently, or asks for a Custom Hybrid split. - The fight is produced by or paired with another pipeline (e.g. `realistic-superhuman-combat`, `video-director`, `movie-maker`, `mini-series`, `short-maker`...) and needs a style layer added on top of that pipeline. - Do NOT use for generic action/braws where no specific martial art is requested. ## Non-negotiable principles 1. A style is **never just a label**. The chosen martial art must be visible in the fighter's initial stance before the first attack and remain recognizable throughout the choreography. 2. Each fighter gets an **independent** combat style. 3. Never replace a specific martial-art stance with a generic cinematic fighting pose. 4. Do **not** mix styles unless **Custom Hybrid** is explicitly selected. 5. Style must drive: initial stance, guard, foot placement, weight distribution, fighting distance, movement rhythm, attacks, defensive reactions, counters, clinch behavior, grappling behavior, throws, transitions, and overall choreography. ## Style visibility Choose one level per fighter (default **CLEAR**): - **SUBTLE** — realistic and understated; the technique is correct but muted (good for grounded/cinematic realism). - **CLEAR** — clearly recognizable while remaining natural. - **SIGNATURE** — immediately and strongly recognizable; signature tells and flourishes are amplified for spectacle. Visibility scales how hard the style's signature tells are pushed in every prompt (stance exaggeration, footwork amplitude, frequency of style-flagging techniques). ## Operating modes - **Mode A — Standalone.** The user gives fighters/refs + styles; this skill produces opening-stance keyframes, combat clips, and verification itself. - **Mode B — Overlay (combinable with other skills).** This skill produces a per-fighter **STYLE DIRECTION BLOCK** + style-plate images that are handed to the owning pipeline (`realistic-superhuman-combat`, `video-director`, `movie-maker`, etc.). The other skill owns story/characters/assets/audio; this skill owns **how the fight looks**. Never re-generate characters, storyboards, or audio owned by another pipeline — integrate instead of duplicating. ## Steps 1. **Lock requirements.** Per fighter: identity (uploaded refs or generated), independent primary style, visibility (default CLEAR), pairing mode (A or B), and arena/tone (ring, street, alley, dojo, arena, fantasy battlefield...). 2. **Select style.** Consult `references/style-bible.md` for the full per-style definitions (opening stance, combat behavior, signature tells, avoiding rules); consult `references/style-bible-extra.md` for the extended styles (**Ninjutsu/Ninpo, Systema, Hapkido, Sambo, Silat**) and the Capoeira cinema note. If the user picks **Traditional Kung Fu**, first ask which family (Northern/Long Fist or Southern) before generating. If the user picks **Custom Hybrid**, require an explicit decomposition — either percentages (`70% Wing Chun + 30% Muay Thai`) or anatomical (`Boxing hands + Judo throws + Taekwondo kicks`) — and define which component owns which behavior; never auto-mix. 3. **Write the STYLE DIRECTION BLOCK.** Per fighter: one dense paragraph plus bulleted choreography cues covering stance/guard/feet/weight/distance; rhythm; attack vocabulary; defense/counter behavior; clinch/grappling/throw behavior; transitions; signature tells (bumped by visibility); and the bible's avoiding rules as explicit never's. This block is the source of truth for every prompt. 4. **Apply to generation.** - Opening-stance keyframe (recommended): `generate_image` — `model='t2i'` with no reference;
