# Anime Series Pipeline

Turn an idea into a short-form anime episode (portrait 9:16, English dialogue, shonen action style by default). The pipeline is: **Story DNA → World & style → Hook → Characters → Continuity → Series outline → Episode outline → Episode script → Episode blocking → Episode pace → Episode event chain → Episode clip script → Stitch**. You may run the whole pipeline or jump into any single stage.

## When to use
- User gives an idea / logline / one-liner and wants an anime series or anime short-reel.
- User wants to advance one stage (write the script, next episode, next clip) or change one stage (rewrite script, restyle a character, re-render a clip, remix the episode).
- User wants a full anime-style short for TikTok / ReelShort-style vertical platforms.

## Defaults
- **Orientation**: portrait (9:16) for all images and videos.
- **Language**: English only — dialogue, script, and subtitles are always in English; do not switch to other languages.
- **Art style**: shonen action anime (dynamic poses, bold linework, vivid colors, dramatic action). Adapt only if the user explicitly asks for a different style.

## Reference files
- `references/character-design.md` (Character Design Guide): design principles, the 4-view identity sheet prompt template, and consistency rules. Use it whenever you design or generate characters (Stage 4).

## Preset assets
- `style_template` (Style Template): the user's uploaded art-style reference image. Use it as a reference input on every character-sheet and storyboard generation so the whole episode stays visually consistent with this style.

## Memory (built-in)
- Before starting a run, call `memory_query` to recall the user's saved preferences and ongoing project (art style, language, aspect ratio, established characters, episode continuity), and `memory_whoami` for the user's identity summary. Don't invent preferences if nothing is found.
- Worth storing with `memory_store` (use namespace `anime-series-pipeline`): the user's preferred art style / language / aspect ratio (kind=`preference`), established main characters and their designs (kind=`person`), the ongoing series project and episode continuity (kind=`project`), and notable user feedback (kind=`fact`).
- On "forget/correct" requests: call `memory_query` to find the item's `id`, then `memory_forget`.
- Don't store one-off task progress, temporary drafts, or sensitive credentials.

## Steps

For any multi-stage run, first call `write_todos` to list the stages and update it as you progress (one stage in_progress at a time).

### Stage 1 — Story DNA
1. Define the story's core DNA: genre, tone, protagonist's want and need, central conflict, and theme. This is the foundation every later stage builds on.
2. Save it with `create_document(content=<markdown>, name="Story DNA", entity_type="scripts")`.
3. Show the user and get approval before proceeding.

### Stage 2 — World and style
1. Establish the world: setting, rules, locations, factions, and the art style that will carry the whole series.
2. Generate a world/style reference image with `generate_image(model='i2i', input_urls=[<style_template preset asset>], orientation='portrait', prompt=<world + style description>, name="World & Style", entity_type="locations")`.
3. Save the world bible with `create_document(content=<markdown>, name="World & Style", entity_type="scripts")`.

### Stage 3 — Hook
1. Craft the opening hook — the cold open that grabs attention in the first seconds of the episode.
2. Save it with `create_document(content=<markdown>, name="Hook", entity_type="scripts")`.

### Stage 4 — Characters
1. For each main character, generate a 4-view identity sheet (front / side / back / action pose) in the established style. Follow the design principles, prompt template, and consistency rules in `references/character-design.md`.
2. Call `generate_image(model='i2i', input_urls=[<style_template preset asset>], orientation='portrait', prompt=<detailed character description +
