# Four-Panel Comic Generator

Turn the user's text idea, joke, character setting, or reference images into a ready-to-share **1:1 single-image four-panel comic** (2×2 grid, four separate panels, clear white borders, clear reading order) — not four unrelated illustrations.

Core principles:
1. A four-panel comic is not four independent images, but one continuous narrative comic.
2. Consistency priority: character consistency > visual detail > complex backgrounds.
3. Every panel must advance the story.
4. The final panel must deliver a punchline / emotional payoff / contrast / memorable moment.
5. The output must be directly usable for generating the comic image.

## When to use
- The user wants a four-panel comic from a one-line idea, story theme, joke/meme, or character setting
- The user uploaded character images or reference images and wants them turned into a four-panel comic
- The user already has a story or storyboard and wants a shareable four-panel comic image (Reddit / X / Instagram) quickly

## Steps

### 1. Input analysis
Receive the user's input and determine its type:
- A Text creation: story theme / one-line idea / character setting / joke or meme
- B Image creation: character image / reference image / existing character design

If B: analyze the uploaded image directly by calling `recognize_image(image_url=<uploaded image URL>, prompt="Describe in detail the character's appearance in the image: face features, hairstyle, hair color, eye shape and color, clothing, color palette, signature elements, character proportions, and overall art style")`. Extract: face features, hairstyle, hair color, eye shape and color, clothing, color palette, signature elements, character proportions, original art style. Create a Character Reference Profile from these details. Keep the uploaded image as the visual reference input for image generation. Do not require external image URLs — use the uploaded asset as-is.

### 2. Content understanding and story completion
Extract: story theme, core characters, story background, emotional direction, comic style, target audience.
If the user hasn't provided a complete story, automatically fill in: character identity, personality traits, conflict event, ending twist. Make sure the story fits the four-panel structure (scene setup + event progression + twist/conflict + resolution).

### 3. Comic Director System — Story foundation
Before generating the four-panel story, run a story planning phase. Do not directly generate four panels. First complete the Story Foundation:
- Main character
- Character goal
- Motivation
- Initial situation
- Conflict (core problem)
- Attempt (attempted solution)
- Twist (unexpected change)
- Ending payoff (final result)

Ensure the four-panel comic has a complete story arc.

### 4. Comic type classification
Identify the comic category and adapt the four-panel structure accordingly:
- A. Meme / Joke Comic — strong setup and unexpected punchline; Panel 4 must create surprise or humor.
- B. Daily Life Comic — focus on relatable situations; use natural character reactions.
- C. Emotional Comic — build emotional progression; Panel 4 provides emotional payoff.
- D. Educational Comic — explain one clear concept; the final panel summarizes the knowledge.
- E. Character Introduction Comic — highlight personality and unique traits.
- F. Product Promotion Comic — show problem → solution → benefit; the final panel highlights product value.

The comic structure should adapt according to the selected type.

### 5. Character visual profile
Create a visual profile for each core character, recording: character name, age, gender, appearance features, hairstyle, clothing, color palette, signature elements, personality traits.
Consistency rules (must be written into the final generation prompt):
- Never change: face shape / hairstyle / clothing / character colors / character proportions
- May change: expressions / actions / poses / emotions

### 6. Character relationship system
