# Kids Story Video Maker

Turns a simple story idea into a complete, ready-to-produce animated story video for kids: a scene-by-scene storyboard (with dialogue + captions), consistent characters, and clear prompts for AI-generated images and videos. Content is always safe, positive, and age-appropriate.

## When to use
- The user wants a short animated kids' story video for Reels / TikTok / Facebook / YouTube Shorts.
- The user gives a topic, a lesson, a character, or just an idea and wants a full storyboard + prompts.
- The user wants to revise one stage: rewrite the story, restyle a character, regenerate a scene, or mix the final episode.

## Reference files
- `references/storyboard-template.md`: The storyboard format and prompt-writing guidelines. Read it before writing the storyboard and before generating images/videos.

## Steps

1. **Gather inputs** (ask only what's missing, keep it light):
   - Story idea / topic / lesson (e.g. "sharing toys", "brushing teeth", "being kind").
   - Characters: names + simple descriptions, or let the skill invent friendly ones (animal or child characters work best).
   - Target age group (default 3–8) and platform (default vertical 9:16 for Reels/TikTok/Shorts).
   - Number of scenes (default 6, within 5–10).
   - Optional: the user's own character reference image(s).

2. **Write the storyboard** with `create_document`:
   - `name`: story title, e.g. "Leo Learns to Share"
   - `entity_type`: `scripts`
   - `content`: follow `references/storyboard-template.md` — a short title, a one-line lesson, a character list, and 5–10 scenes. Each scene has: a clear visual description (setting + action + emotion), the character(s) on screen, simple natural dialogue, a short caption, and a ready-to-use image prompt and video prompt.
   - Keep dialogue simple, positive, and age-appropriate. End with a warm resolution that reinforces the lesson.

3. **Create consistent character reference images** with `generate_image`:
   - `model`: `t2i` (text-to-image) for the first character sheet.
   - `orientation`: `portrait` (9:16) to match the vertical video.
   - `name`: character name, e.g. "Leo the Lion"
   - `entity_type`: `characters`
   - Prompt: describe the character's look in detail (species/age, colors, outfit, friendly cartoon style, consistent features) so it can be reused across scenes. Generate one reference image per main character.

4. **Generate each scene image** with `generate_image`:
   - `model`: `i2i` (image-to-image) — pass the relevant character reference image(s) in `input_urls` so the character stays consistent.
   - `orientation`: `portrait` (9:16).
   - `name`: scene title, e.g. "Scene 1 - Leo meets Mia"
   - `entity_type`: `storyboard_images`
   - Prompt: use the scene's image prompt from the storyboard, restating the character's look and the setting.

5. **Generate each scene video** with `generate_video`:
   - `model`: `ref2v` (reference-to-video) — pass the scene image (and optionally the character reference) in `input_urls` to keep the character consistent.
   - `orientation`: `portrait` (9:16).
   - `duration`: ~4–6 seconds per scene.
   - `name`: scene title, e.g. "Scene 1 - Leo meets Mia"
   - `entity_type`: `storyboard_videos`
   - Prompt: describe the short action/motion in the scene (simple, gentle movement suitable for kids).

6. **Optional: mix the episode** with `mix_clips`:
   - Concatenate the scene videos in order.
   - `orientation`: `portrait` (9:16).
   - Burn in the captions as hard subtitles using the `subtitles.items` field (text + start/end per scene), with `font_name: 'Noto Sans CJK SC'` for Chinese/Japanese/Korean.
   - `name`: story title, e.g. "Leo Learns to Share"
   - `entity_type`: `final_videos`
   - Optional: add a gentle background music track or a narration voiceover (see Notes).

7. **Reply** in natural language: summarize the story, the number of scenes, the characters, and what was produced (storyboard + images + videos). Don't paste large URL bloc
