Horror Story Shorts Creator

Horror Story Shorts Creator makes ready-to-post scary shorts from a single idea. What it does: - Writes a short horror or mystery story with a strong hook, slow dread and a twist ending - Keeps the monster or ghost mostly unseen, so it feels scarier and stays platform-safe - Plans 5 to 8 shots with camera, lighting and sound for each - Generates dark atmospheric video, a whispering voiceover and eerie sound design - Joins everything into one vertical 9:16 short with subtitles and a cliffhanger How to use: send an idea (for example "ek band haveli ki raat ki kahani") or just a setting, plus language and length. It shows you the story first, then builds the video after you approve. No graphic gore, no real people, all stories are fictional. Works in Hindi, Urdu and English.

# Horror Story Shorts Creator

End-to-end horror production: **idea → story → screenplay → scene/shot breakdown → character & location design → keyframes → video clips → voiceover → music & sound design → edit → subtitles → export**.

## When to use
- User wants a horror short or a complete horror movie made from an idea / logline / story / script.
- User wants to revise, continue, or re-cut a horror film that is already in progress.
- User asks for the intermediate pieces only ("just the script", "just the storyboard", "just the voiceover", "just the trailer").

## Length modes (decide with the user, or infer, then state it)
| Mode | Runtime | Typical structure |
|---|---|---|
| `short` (default) | 45–90 s | Hook → setup → 2 scares → twist → sting |
| `medium` | 3–5 min | 5–8 scenes, one character arc, one reveal |
| `feature` | 8–15 min | Act 1 / Act 2 / Act 3, 15–30 scenes, ending + tag scene |

If the user just says "complete horror movie", use `feature` mode. State the chosen mode in your first reply so the user can correct it.

## Reference files
- `references/horror-craft.md` — story structures, scare design, look bible, shot grammar, sound design recipes. Read it before writing the story and before the shot breakdown; it is the creative core of this skill.

## Steps

### 1. Lock the brief
Ask at most 2 short questions if the idea is vague (language, length mode, gore level, single location vs multiple). Do not interrogate — if the user says "just go", pick sensible defaults and proceed. Decide: language of dialogue/voiceover (Hindi / Hinglish / Urdu / English), length mode, and orientation (portrait 9:16 for Reels/Shorts, landscape 16:9 for a movie).

Call `write_todos` first with the full stage list, and update the whole list as stages complete (one `in_progress` at a time).

### 2. Story
Write the horror story in the chosen language, with:
- A logline (one line) and a 3-sentence synopsis.
- A **hook** in the first 10 seconds.
- Escalation: each beat raises the threat, no repeated scare type.
- A **twist** that recontextualises the setup.
- For `feature`: Act 1 (setup, the wound), Act 2 (escalation, the rule, the reveal), Act 3 (confrontation, payoff), plus a final tag/button.

Read `references/horror-craft.md` before this step.

### 3. Screenplay
Break the story into a written screenplay (scene headings, action, dialogue, sound cues) and save it as a document:
`create_document(content=<screenplay>, name="<Title> - Screenplay", content_type="text/markdown", entity_type="scripts")`.
When revising, use `update_document(asset_id=...)` so the same card refreshes — `create_document` always makes a new card.

### 4. Scene & shot breakdown
Make a numbered table of every scene: `SC-01 | location | time | characters | purpose | duration (s) | shot list | sound`.
Each shot line: `SH-010 | SC-01 | WIDE | 35mm | description | action | line (if any) | sound cue`.
Budget duration so the sum equals the target runtime. Save as a document with `entity_type="shotlists"`.

### 5. Look bible — characters, locations, props
Generate reference images with `generate_image`:
- Characters: `model='t2i'`, `orientation='portrait'`, `name="<Character Name> - Reference"`, `entity_type="characters"`. Prompt = age, face, hair, wardrobe, build, one lighting condition, "full body, neutral background, horror film character reference sheet, consistent identity".
- Locations: `model='t2i'`, `orientation='landscape'`, `name="<Location> - Reference"`, `entity_type="locations"`.
- Props (creature, object, weapon): `entity_type="props"`.

Generate one master image per recurring character, then reuse that same `asset_id` as the reference for every shot of that character so identity holds across the film.

### 6. Keyframes (storyboard)
For each shot that needs a specific composition, generate a keyframe with `generate_image`:
- `model='i2i'` with the character/location reference(s) in `input_urls` (keeps identity), `orientation` matching the film, `name="SC-01
