# Brand TVC Director

Produce the *decisions* a commercial director makes, then hand the model nothing but camera-ready instructions.
The deliverable is not "a prompt". It is a production package: routes, treatment, shot list, prompt pack, cutdowns, QC sheet.

## When to Use

- A brand or merchant wants a cinematic product film, hero TVC, launch trailer, or premium ad creative.
- The user has a product photo / packaging shot and wants it turned into a video advertisement.
- The user asks for "a commercial", "an ad film", "a brand video", "a TVC", or names a channel (TV spot, YouTube pre-roll, Meta Reels, Amazon A+, OOH loop).
- The work needs a *campaign*, not a single clip — multiple hooks, multiple aspect ratios, multiple cutdowns.
- The brief includes a luxury, premium, or "high-end" quality bar.

## When Not to Use

- **Pure UGC / native social ads** where the whole point is a phone-shot creator talking to camera. Use a UGC skill instead; grading this style as a TVC destroys its credibility.
- **A single throwaway clip.** If the user wants one 8-second atmospheric shot and nothing else, answer directly instead of running the pipeline.
- **Long-form narrative** (story film, drama episode, MV). Route to drama / movie / music skills.
- **No product or brand asset of any kind**, and no willingness to supply one. Consistency cannot be invented — ask for one clean product image first.
- **Anything requiring legal claims** (before/after medical results, earnings claims, comparative superiority). Draft the shot, but flag the copy for compliance review rather than inventing a claim.

## Inputs

| Input | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Product / subject reference image | Yes | Clean, well-lit, 1 image minimum, 3+ angles preferred. This is the visual contract. |
| Product name + one-line value proposition | Yes | Drives the concept and the end frame. |
| Brand palette / logo / typeface | Preferred | Enables the end-frame lock and the grade. |
| Target channel + aspect ratio | Preferred | Default 16:9 master, then derive 9:16 and 1:1. |
| Target duration | Preferred | Default 15s master. |
| Tone keywords (3–5) | Preferred | e.g. "precise, cold, engineered". |
| Legal / claim constraints | Optional | If absent, assume no claim may be made. |
| Budget of generations | Optional | Drives how many routes we show and how many variations we keep. |

If the product name or reference image is missing, ask **once**, in a single short message, then proceed with the best assumption and label it.

## Outputs

Emit all seven artifacts. Keep them in separate files, not one wall of text.

1. `01-brief-lock.md` — the frozen brief: product truth, audience, single-minded proposition, mandatory elements, forbidden elements.
2. `02-creative-routes.md` — three routes with distinct *ideas*, each with a logline and a reason to exist.
3. `03-treatment.md` — the chosen route as a director's treatment: beat sheet with second marks.
4. `04-shotlist.md` — the locked shot table (produced by `scripts/build-shotlist.py`, not by hand).
5. `05-prompt-pack.md` — one generation-ready prompt per shot, five slots each, plus the shared negative block.
6. `06-edit-and-sound.md` — assembly order, cut rhythm, grade note, VO/music/foley plan, cutdown matrix.
7. `07-qc-sheet.md` — the QC gate, filled in, with pass/fail and the specific fix.

## The Prompt Contract (non-negotiable)

Every generation prompt is written in **the same five slots, in the same order**. Consistency across shots comes from this repetition, not from hoping the model remembers.

```
Subject   -> the exact product token + material + placement
Action    -> ONE physical verb. Two verbs produce mush.
Camera    -> framing, movement, lens, height, speed
Light     -> named setup, direction, quality. Never "cinematic lighting".
Style     -> grade, grain, contrast, film reference
Negatives -> the shared block, pasted verbatim
```

Two hard rules:

- **Product token.** Define one short string once, e.g. `PRODU
