# Ghibli Chinese Film Maker Turns an idea, script, or uploaded photos into a short Ghibli-style animated film set in Chinese culture — warm hand-drawn painterly animation, ink-wash landscapes, hanfu characters, folk-tale storytelling. ## Reference files - `references/style-guide.md`: The Ghibli-Chinese visual style descriptor and per-stage prompt templates. Read it before generating any image/video, and append the style descriptor to every image prompt. ## When to use - User wants a Ghibli-style animated short film / movie with Chinese cultural elements, from a one-line idea, a script, or uploaded character/scene photos. - User wants to advance or revise a single stage (rewrite script, generate next clip, restyle a character, re-mix the episode). ## Steps 1. **Clarify** (briefly, don't over-ask): input type (one-line idea / full script / uploaded photos), aspect ratio (default `landscape` 16:9 cinematic; use `portrait` 9:16 only if they ask for short-form vertical), target length (~60s default), and whether they want voiceover + background music (default yes). If photos were uploaded, treat them as character/scene references. 2. **Write the script**: draft a short Ghibli-style story with Chinese cultural flavor (a folk tale, a journey, a quiet slice of life). Break it into ~4–8 shots. Save it with `create_document(content=<script>, name="Script", entity_type="scripts")`. Show the user and get a quick go-ahead before generating visuals. 3. **Build character sheets**: for each main character, generate a reference image with `generate_image` using the style descriptor + a detailed character description. If the user uploaded a character photo, use `model='i2i'` with that photo in `input_urls` to restyle it into the Ghibli-Chinese look. Use `entity_type="characters"`, `name=<character name>`. Keep these as the identity references for later shots. 4. **Generate storyboard images**: one image per shot, `generate_image`. Pass the relevant character sheet(s) in `input_urls` (`model='i2i'`) to keep character consistency, and append the style descriptor + scene description. Use `entity_type="storyboard_images"`, `name=<shot title>`. 5. **Generate clips**: for each storyboard image, `generate_video` with `model='i2v'` (image-to-video), passing the storyboard image as the start frame and describing the motion in the prompt. Use `entity_type="storyboard_videos"`, `name=<shot title>`. 6. **Voiceover** (if wanted): `generate_tts` with `model='tts.design'` and a `voice_instruction` matching the tone (e.g. warm, gentle narrator). Use `entity_type="voiceovers"`, `name=<line title>`. 7. **Music** (if wanted): `generate_music` with a prompt describing a gentle, warm, Chinese-flavored soundtrack (e.g. guzheng/pipa + soft orchestral). Use `entity_type="music"`, `name="Soundtrack"`. 8. **Mix the final film**: `mix_clips` with the clips in story order, plus the voiceover and music as audio tracks. Use `entity_type="final_videos"`, `name="Final Film"`, and pass `orientation` matching the clips. 9. **Reply**: summarize the finished film in natural language (don't paste long URLs). Offer to revise any stage. ## Notes - Always append the style descriptor from `references/style-guide.md` to every image prompt so the Ghibli-Chinese look stays consistent. - Use `write_todos` to list the stages and update it as you progress; call `set_guidance` after the film is done to suggest next actions (e.g. "restyle a character", "make the next episode"). - Intermediate products (storyboard images, clips, voiceover, music) will appear on the canvas alongside the final film — that's expected. - Report failures honestly and never fabricate URLs. Politely decline requests for prohibited content; video generation does not support NSFW/adult content on any channel.
