# Cinematic Transformation Effect

Turns an idea ("a child grows into an old man", "a flower blooms", "a man turns to molten gold", "a hero takes flight", "the table starts shaking", "my character becomes an anime version of himself", "the street fills with lanterns for New Year") into a short cinematic clip: matched keyframes, a morphing video, optional multi-shot coverage, optional score, optional narration, and a final assembled cut.

## When to use
- The user asks for a "transformation", "transforming effect", "morph", "becomes", "turns into", "grows into", "before and after", "time-lapse of change", or an identity/state shift rendered on camera.
- The user names a known effect (bloom, liquid metal, possessed, cyborg, werewolf, statue-to-living, rebuild, scale change, ember, vampire, body-swap, jack-o'-lantern, red envelope, …) — see `references/effect-presets.md`, `references/more-effects.md`, `references/holiday-effects.md`, `references/combined-effects.md` and `references/brand-product-effects.md`.
- The effect involves **flight, levitation, or a character taking off** — see the Flight section of `references/effect-presets.md`.
- The effect involves **going invisible, vanishing, fading out, dissolving, or reappearing** — see the Invisibility section of `references/effect-presets.md`.
- The effect involves **an object shaking, rattling, trembling, rumbling, swaying, or vibrating** — see the Object shake section of `references/effect-presets.md`.
- The effect involves **a shadow that comes alive, detaches, imitates, attacks, or swaps places with its owner** — see the Shadow come alive section of `references/more-effects.md`; when it is one stage of a two-effect chain, see the Shadow chains section of `references/combined-effects.md`.
- The effect involves a **change of medium** (a real person becoming anime, 3D, clay, comic, or pixel art) — see `references/styles.md`.
- The effect involves a **holiday or seasonal change** (Halloween, Christmas, Lunar New Year, autumn, first snow, eclipse) — see `references/holiday-effects.md`.
- The effect involves **two effects in sequence** (child to adult to elder, live to anime to 3D, matte to chrome to gold) — see `references/combined-effects.md`.
- The effect involves a **product, package or brand** (product hero shot, packaging reveal, logo reveal, product morph, ad) — see `references/brand-product-effects.md`.
- The user specifies a **camera angle, shot size, lens, or camera move** for the effect — see `references/camera.md`.
- The user supplies a **photo, video, social link, or library asset** and wants the subject changed on camera.
- The user wants the same effect re-used across many subjects.

Do NOT use this for: a talking-head lip-sync, a slideshow of unrelated images, or a full narrative short film (use a drama/movie skill for that).

## Steps

First use `write_todos` to list the steps, and update the whole list as you progress.

### 0. Recall prior preferences
- `memory_query(query="cinematic transformation preferences: aspect ratio, color grade, house style, recurring subjects, music mood, preferred medium")` **before** asking any questions. If a stored preference matches, apply it silently instead of re-asking.
- `memory_store(kind='preference', namespace='cinematic-transformation', content=...)` only once the user confirms a durable choice (always 9:16, a fixed grade, a recurring effect, a recurring character, "always animated"). `memory_forget` if they ask you to drop one.
- Full rules — what to store, what never to store, and the source-material p
