AI Anime Episode Studio

A story beat in. A finished anime-style episode out — 45 to 90 seconds, with consistent character design, real background art, a voice track, and an edit that reads like a broadcast cut. This is not an anime-style montage. It builds a series bible, casts the episode, writes dialogue, and uses actual anime grammar. WHAT IT DOES • Locks a series bible: world, tone, art style, and a cast sheet with one signature prop per character • Builds a four-beat episode — the ordinary, the small disturbance, the choice, the afterimage — so the character ends slightly changed even in 60 seconds • Shoots 12–18 cuts using anime grammar: wide establishing, eye close-up, hands, walking at a distance, looking up at the sky, one speed-line frame, one near-still • Generates backgrounds SEPARATELY, because a character pasted onto a background always looks flatter than one drawn into it • Uses cel shading with exactly two shadow tones and a single hair-highlight band • Animates with limited-motion cuts: hair, sky, a blink, one turn — the way anime actually moves • Casts voices per character and records the casting, so episode two sounds the same • Remembers the series, so the next episode opens with the cast already cast WHAT MAKES IT GOOD • No two consecutive shots at the same distance — wide, medium, close • Sky in at least three frames, which is what makes the frame breathe • One action-grammar shot per episode; a second speed-line frame cancels the first • The emotional peak gets the eyes close-up, and it holds longer than anything else GOOD FOR Anime scenes and episodes, original characters in an anime world, manga panels to motion, 15-second OPs, series episodes, and vertical anime shorts for TikTok / Shorts / Reels. NOT FOR Existing anime characters, studios or trademarks, realistic short films, or adult content. Original work only. Describe the character and the moment — it will build the bible and cut the episode.

# AI Anime Episode Studio

A story beat in, a finished anime-style scene out — 45 to 90 seconds, with consistent character
design, anime background art, a voice track, and an edit that reads like a broadcast cut. It
remembers the series, so episode two starts with the cast already cast.

## When to use

- The user wants an **anime episode, scene, or opening (OP)**.
- The user has an **original character** and wants them animated in an anime world.
- The user has **manga panels** and wants them brought to motion.
- The user wants **episode two** of a series with the same cast.
- The user wants a **vertical anime short** for TikTok / Shorts / Reels.

Do **not** use this for: existing anime characters or studios' designs, a realistic short film, or
adult content — see Notes.

## Steps

### 0. Intake — episode, not montage

Call `write_todos`: intake → series bible → beat → shot list → character art → backgrounds →
shots → voice → cut → deliver.

Ask at most **three** questions:

1. **Whose episode?** — the character, and the one thing they want in this scene.
2. **Where and when?** — classroom at dusk, rooftop at noon, a rainy street, a fantasy gate.
3. **Which tone?** — slice-of-life, action, romance, mystery, comedy.

State the tone and the last frame yourself if the user does not. **An episode needs a small
change** — the character ends slightly different from how they started, even in 60 seconds.

### 1. Series bible — the cast sheet

```
memory_query(query='anime series, cast, character design, world, previous episodes')
```

If the series exists, reuse it exactly. If not, build and persist:

```
memory_store(key='anime_series_<slug>', value='<series title>; <world>; <tone>; <art style:
cel-shaded, 2-tone shadow>; <cast: name — hair — eye colour — uniform/outfit — one signature
prop>; <palette>; <episode list>')
```

Rules that make anime look like anime:

- **Cel shading with exactly two shadow tones** — never soft gradients on faces.
- **One clean highlight on the hair** — the anime "hair shine" band.
- **Limited palette per scene**: 2 dominant + 1 accent.
- **Outlines on characters, softer lines on backgrounds.**

### 2. Beat — four beats for a 60-second episode

| # | Beat | Length | Function |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 日常 | 12s | The world, the character doing something ordinary |
| 2 | 小さな異変 | 14s | Something is slightly off; a look, a sound |
| 3 | 選択 | 18s | The character acts — this is the emotional peak |
| 4 | 余韻 | 12s | The changed world, one held frame |

For 90 seconds, add a **second scene** between 3 and 4 rather than lengthening the beats.

Save it: `create_document(title='<episode> — beat sheet', content='<table>')`.

### 3. Shot list — 12 to 18 shots, with anime grammar

Anime has its own vocabulary. Use at least four of these:

| Shot type | What it does |
|---|---|
| 引きの風景 | Establishing; sky is at least half the frame |
| キャラのミディアム | Waist-up, character off-centre |
| 目元のアップ | Eyes only — the anime emotional close-up |
| 手元 | Hands, a held object, a phone, a cup |
| 走る/歩く | Motion at a distance, figure small |
| 空を見上げる | Character looking up, sky beyond |
| 効果線の瞬間 | One speed-line or impact frame in action |
| 静寂の一枚 | One near-still frame before the cut |

**Rules:**

- **No two consecutive shots at the same distance.** Wide → medium → close.
- **Sky or ceiling in at least three shots.** It is what makes the frame breathe.
- **The emotional peak gets the eyes close-up**, and it holds longer than anything else.
- **One action-grammar shot maximum** — a second speed-line frame cancels the first.

### 4. Character and background art

Character (always from the sheet):

```
generate_image(
  model='i2i',
  input_urls=[<character sheet>],
  prompt='anime character art, cel
