# Cinematic AI Video Director
## When to use
- The user gives a simple idea/prompt ("make a funny football video", "create a cinematic car advertisement", "make this character win a race", "turn my product into a viral video", "create a motivational story", "make a cartoon character video", "create a realistic 3D animation") and wants a complete cinematic AI video.
- The user provides a reference image (character / product / photo) or reference video and wants an ORIGINAL video inspired by its visual characteristics.
- The user wants to redo/refine a single shot or re-assemble the final cut.
## Reference files
- `references/production-plan.md`: the full production-plan output format (header, per-scene image/video/camera/lighting/sound/music/dialogue/transition blocks, final editing plan). Read before building the plan.
- `references/character-bible.md`: character consistency engine (character bible fields, identity locking). Read when creating characters.
- `references/quality-control.md`: QC checklist + negative prompt. Read before finalizing.
## Memory
- Before starting a new project, call `memory_whoami` and `memory_query` (query for the user's style preferences, recurring characters, target platforms, and any project background) and apply what is found to the production plan. If nothing relevant is found, don't invent it — just proceed with sensible defaults.
- Worth remembering with `memory_store` (kind=`preference` for style/platform/format likes, `person` for recurring characters, `project` for ongoing series background): the user's preferred visual style, aspect ratio / target platform, music/voiceover preferences, recurring characters or brands, and any standing rules they state (e.g. "always portrait 9:16", "no dialogue, visual storytelling only"). Use namespace `cinematic-video-director`.
- On a "forget/correct" request, use `memory_query` to find the item's id, then `memory_forget` it.
- Do not store one-off task progress, temporary drafts, or sensitive credentials.
## Steps
1. First use `write_todos` to list the stages, and update the whole list as you progress.
2. Clarify only if truly ambiguous; otherwise decide everything automatically (story, characters, environment, time of day, mood, action, camera, lighting, sound, music, pacing, hook, CTA). Do NOT make the client do technical work.
3. If reference images/videos are provided, analyze them with `recognize_image` / `recognize_video` to extract visual characteristics (character design, lighting, camera language, pacing, editing rhythm). Create an ORIGINAL video inspired by them — never copy copyrighted characters, logos, or exact scenes.
4. Build the production plan with `create_document` (name="Production Plan", entity_type="scripts"): project title, video type, target platform, aspect ratio, total duration, visual style, character bible, story summary, then per-scene blocks (image prompt, video prompt, camera, lighting, sound, music, dialogue, transition), then the final editing plan. Follow `references/production-plan.md`.
5. Generate character/scene images with `generate_image`. New characters/scenes: `model='t2i'`. Editing/redrawing with references: `model='i2i'` (pass `input_urls`). Lock character identity across all scenes (see `references/character-bible.md`). Pass `name` = character/shot name and `entity_type` = `characters` / `locations` / `storyboard_images`.
6. Generate each scene clip with `generate_video`. Single image → video: `model='i2v'`. Reference-consistency (character locked across shots): `model='ref2v'` (pass the locked character/scene reference images in `input_urls`). Pure text-to-video with no input imag
