Scene Staging
SHUOHAO SKILLS · Scene Staging Plan who is where when a scene begins, then inspect and adjust the result in an interactive HTML tool report. Default deliverable staging-report.html is the main result. Open the downloaded file in a browser to switch scenes, drag people on a north-up plan, edit opening presence, posture, facing and extras, inspect or correct anchor coordinates, copy opening blocking, and export JSON or save an edited HTML file. JSON is working data and an export option. Separate Markdown documents are available on request. Inputs A screenplay is required. Add a location/art specification, character name map, and actual scene images when available. Without images, the location inventory is explicitly provisional. No other skill installation is required. Key capabilities • Establish supported staging anchors from actual scene images. • Preserve cast and location IDs, later entrances, and continuity between scenes. • Arrange opening positions, seating, posture, facing directions, and justified extras. • Produce opening blocking for the first storyboard segment of each scene. • Revise selected people while preserving unrelated positions. • Deliver a portable HTML tool page with embedded data and export controls. Digen edition Uses Digen image recognition and document tools. Review is manual, and the page's live checks are basic advisories; the source edition's eight Node.js gates do not run on Digen. Geometry and image boxes are estimates that require human verification. Browser edits are local until exported, and do not automatically update cloud assets. No image or video generation is performed. Opening the HTML report The tested Digen preview displays HTML source. Download staging-report.html and open it in a browser. The tested download preserves .html when both asset name and filename include that extension; if the platform adds a trailing .md, remove it. Interactive execution inside the Digen preview is not promised. Example request Plan the opening positions for this office scene. Keep Ada standing south of the desk facing north, Ben seated on the west-wall bench facing east, and all unmentioned seats empty. Deliver the default tool report. # Scene Staging Plan where every character is when a scene begins and deliver an interactive HTML tool report by default. Users can inspect and adjust opening positions, posture, facing, extras, and image boxes, then export JSON. Give the storyboard a clear opening arrangement so independently generated clips do not invent seats, guests, or new positions. ## When to use Use for opening positions, seating plans, facing directions, group scenes, extras, or a local staging revision. A screenplay is required. Accept an art bible, name map, and scene images when available. No other skill has to be installed. This stage covers the opening instant; later movement belongs to the screenplay and storyboard. ## Steps 1. **Read the inputs.** Use get_document(asset_id=...) for supplied screenplay, art, outline, or existing staging documents. Use only real supplied or returned IDs. Preserve episode numbers, one-based scene indices, location IDs, and each scene's exact cast. Reuse names from the supplied name map. Do not invent story facts. 2. **Read the working references.** Use read_skill_file for references/schema.md, references/read-pass.md, and references/staging-pass.md. Read references/digen-runtime.md for tool conventions and platform limitations. For delivery, read references/html-template.md, references/html-runtime-1.md, and references/html-runtime-2.md. Load only what the current stage needs; do not assume a shell exists. 3. **Read each location once.** When an actual location image is available, call recognize_image(image_url=<actual asset or URL>, prompt=<request visible staging anchors, normalized image boxes, perspective-aware top-view footprints, and uncertainty>). On a standard source art sheet, the main view is approximately the upper-left 72% width by 70% height; ignore detail insets for geometry. All box coordinates still refer to the complete image. A single-view image uses its whole relevant view, not the standard sheet crop. Treat recognition boxes as estimates requiring human review; do not infer accuracy from a confidence claim. Inventory 4–20 supported anchors such as tables, doors, seats, steps, platforms, or clearly visible open floor areas. Do not invent furniture mentioned only in an art prompt. If fewer than four anchors can be established, flag the limitation instead of padding the inventory. 4. **Create the location inventory.** Follow schema.md: item name, alt, plan, on, optional round, and box for image-based reading. Use a consistent local north-up compass (camera looks north from the south). Infer plan footprints from perspective, not copied image boxes. Without an image, infer only from the art specification, set readFrom=prompt, omit box, and label the inventory provisional until an image arrives. 5. **Place the opening cast.** Read each scene before arranging it. Give every cast member exactly one places entry. A later entrance has present=false and null spatial fields. At least one person must be present at opening. Set each present person's item, side, along, posture, and facing using the schema. Place people only at anchors in the corresponding inventory. Sitting/standing follows the screenplay. Explain assumptions, power relationships, opposition, or isolation in why while keeping principal speakers' sightlines open. 6. **Maintain continuity and crowd discipline.** Separate people along the same anchor side by at least 0.12. Only on=true anchors allow side=on; along is then 0.5. Use the eight compass facings. Continuous scenes at one location keep positions unless the plot moves someone. Extras default to 0; only a screenplay-established crowd justifies them, and extrasWhere must describe their position. 7. **Review and write the handoff.** Read references/quality-review.md and correct issues. Label the result 'manual review; Node.js validator not executed in Digen'. Do not claim eight automated gates passed. Draft one opening blocking sentence per scene from its present places in store
