# Dark Storybook Style Converter Transform user photos into **Dark Storybook** illustrations—or generate new scenes from text—in a gothic folk-tale aesthetic: aged parchment, ink and watercolor, high contrast warm lantern light against cold shadows. **Progressive disclosure:** After `read_skill(dark-storybook-style)`, load prompt vocabulary only when needed via `read_skill_file(dark-storybook-style, references/style-bible.md)`. ## When to use - User uploads an image and asks for dark storybook / dark fairy tale / gothic illustration / Burton-esque / ragdoll / stitched mouth / button eyes styling. - User wants **text-to-image** in this look without a reference photo. - User wants to **iterate** (stronger style, different mood, fix face/hands) on a prior result. ## Model channels (mandatory) | Task | Tool | `model` | Notes | |------|------|---------|--------| | Text → image | `generate_image` | **`t2i`** | No `input_urls`. | | Image → image (style transfer) | `generate_image` | **`i2i.hd.lite`** / **`i2i.hd`** / **`i2i.hd.gpt`** | Pass user image in `input_urls` (first URL = primary reference). | **Do not** pass physical model names. Use only the channels above. ### I2I channel picker 1. **`i2i.hd.lite`** — Fast preview, layout check, or user asked for a quick draft. 2. **`i2i.hd`** — **Default** for style transfer: best balance of fidelity to the upload + style overlay. 3. **`i2i.hd.gpt`** — Use when the subject is complex (multiple people, busy background, fine text/logos), prior I2I lost identity, or user requests highest fidelity / “best quality” style transfer. If unsure, start with **`i2i.hd`**; offer lite for speed or **`i2i.hd.gpt`** if identity drifted. ## Workflow ### A. User uploaded a reference photo (style transfer) 1. **`recognize_image`** on the upload (optional but recommended): note subject, pose, framing, key props, and what must stay recognizable. 2. **`read_skill_file`** → `references/style-bible.md`. Build prompts using **§ Prompt recipes** (I2I block + style suffix). 3. **`generate_image`**: - `input_urls=[user image asset URL or asset_id]` - `model='i2i.hd'` (or lite / gpt per table above) - `prompt=` English; lead with **preserve composition & subject**, then append **Dark Storybook style suffix** from the style bible. - `orientation`: match the upload when obvious (`portrait` / `landscape` / `square`); if unclear, infer from image or ask once. - `name`: short label, e.g. `Dark Storybook — [subject]` - `entity_type`: `storyboard_images` (or `characters` for portrait-focused requests) 4. Summarize what changed in plain language; do not paste long URLs. ### B. Text-only (new scene in this style) 1. **`read_skill_file`** → `references/style-bible.md` for vocabulary and **T2I recipe**. 2. **`generate_image`** with `model='t2i'`, no `input_urls`, full scene prompt + style suffix. 3. Same `name` / `entity_type` conventions as above. ### C. Edits and iterations - **Stronger style:** increase style keywords from the bible; keep the same I2I channel or step up to **`i2i.hd.gpt`**. - **Keep face/identity:** shorten stylization on facial features in the prompt (“preserve exact likeness, only apply illustration texture”); prefer **`i2i.hd.gpt`**. - **New upload:** restart from step A. ## Prompt rules - **Image prompts: English only** (platform convention). - **User-facing chat:** reply in the user’s language. - Always merge: **(1) subject & composition lock** + **(2) Dark Storybook style suffix** from `style-bible.md`. - Never request NSFW or gore; `.hd*` channels reject NSFW—decline politely. ## Collaboration - Multi-step jobs: `write_todos` (analyze → generate → review). - After delivering a result, `set_guidance` with 2–3 options (e.g. stronger ink, warmer lantern, try `i2i.hd.gpt`). - Tool `success=false`: report honestly; do not invent media URLs. ## Reference files | File | When to read | |------|----------------| | `references/style-bible.md` | Before every `generate_im
