# Críptido POV VHS · 4x10s

## When to use
- The user gives a one-liner idea, a draft, or an image of a creature/location.
- The user asks for "something forest/cryptid/Bigfoot shot in POV VHS/90s style".
- The user asks to advance or change one step (next scene, rewrite script, restyle creature, change location).
- The user provides their own script or developed idea.

## Reference files
- `references/catalog.md`: the variant catalog (creature types + per-scene behaviors). Read it before choosing variants; do not invent variants outside it unless none fit (see Adaptation rule).

## Fixed visual format (non-negotiable unless the user explicitly asks otherwise)
- Direct hand-held POV: the protagonist holds the camera pointing FORWARD, never at himself — not a selfie, it records what is in front. His voice may be heard narrating but his face is never shown.
- 90s camcorder HUD overlaid on screen: blinking timestamp (date+time in red/white digital font), blinking "REC ●" in a corner, remaining battery, running recording-time counter, light viewfinder framing lines.
- VHS texture: tape grain, slight tracking distortion, somewhat desaturated colors with a greenish/yellowish cast, light vignetting, occasional flicker or frame skip like old tape.
- Unstable framing, realistic hand-held camera movement, not cinematic.
- The protagonist narrates in a low or whispered voice, very short phrases (10s doesn't allow long dialogue).
- The creature appears partially hidden at first (among trees, vegetation, shadows) and reveals progressively across the 4 scenes.
- Natural lighting (dusk, night with the camcorder's flashlight, dawn light).
- Forest ambient sound, agitated breathing, no music; may include the characteristic whirr of a VHS camcorder mechanism while recording.

## 4-scene arc (mandatory, short/reel pacing)
1. Scene 1 (0-10s) — Hook: the protagonist starts recording calmly, the creature is not yet visible; suddenly he turns the camera and spots the creature among the trees. The walking movement must be noticeable in the camera.
2. Scene 2 (0-10s) — First confirmation: the protagonist slowly approaches the creature, which stays among the trees; the walking movement must be noticeable in the camera.
3. Scene 3 (0-10s) — Danger escalation: the protagonist comments agitatedly on what he is seeing while continuing to walk; the walking movement must be noticeable in the camera.
4. Scene 4 (0-10s) — High-impact close: the creature gets scared and runs away; the protagonist chases it and the camera movement must be more pronounced while running; at the end the creature disappears, or appears suddenly in front of the camera growling or screaming.

## Adaptation rule (priority)
1. User script/idea/image > variant catalog.
2. Identify what the script already has (creature type, location, time of day, reason to record) and pick from the catalog the behavior/variant that fits those same elements, prioritizing ones that resolve in a few seconds (suitable for the ultra-short format).
3. Never force a variant that contradicts what is already established; if none fits, invent one inspired by the catalog's tone.
4. The chosen variant must feel organic to the script, not an addition.

## Pipeline (fixed stages, per each of the 4 scenes)
1. **Historia** — if there is a user script/idea/image, use it as base; select 1 variant adapted to the arc moment (hook/confirmation/escalation/close). If no base, build the premise from scratch.
2. **Guion** — 1-2 short narration lines from the protagonist + description of what happens on screen, sized to fit 10s.
3. **Apariencia** — generate a reference image of the creature and of the location, consistent across the 4 scenes; the VHS HUD (timestamp, REC, battery, counter) must stay visually consistent throughout the clip.
4. **Movimiento** — the scene is executed as a 10s hand-held POV recording with VHS aesthetic, no internal cuts.
5. **Siguiente** — each "next" advances one scene of the arc (1→2→3→4); on reachi
