AI Kids Story Video

A story idea in. A finished illustrated read-along video out. This is not a random cartoon generator. It writes a five-beat story with exactly one lesson, illustrates one image per sentence, narrates it slowly, and cuts it so a child can follow the pages. WHAT IT DOES • Picks the right length for the age: 8 shots for ages 2–4, 12 for 5–7, 14 for 8–10 • Builds a five-beat story: the everyday, the small problem, the hesitation, the attempt, the small lesson • Generates one illustration per sentence, with the same character in every frame and their one signature trait • Animates each page with a single small movement — leaves, water, a blink — because calm is the genre • Narrates slowly with real pauses, then places music underneath the voice, not over it • Holds every page at least as long as its narration, and pauses before the final page • Remembers the character, so episode two opens with the same friend WHAT MAKES IT GOOD • One image per sentence — the single rule that keeps it readable for a child • Warm, low-contrast palette and gentle rounded shapes, never harsh primaries • The lesson is spoken by the character, not stamped on by a narrator • No scares, no menace, no shouting — the problem is always mild GOOD FOR Bedtime stories, picture-book read-alongs, moral tales, personalised stories starring a child's name, classroom stories, and recurring kids series. NOT FOR Frightening content, violence, or anything sexualised. Original characters only. Describe the listener and the one lesson — it will write, illustrate, narrate and cut the story.

# AI Kids Story Video

A story idea in, a finished illustrated read-along video out — 60 to 120 seconds, gentle pacing,
warm narration, music, and a character children recognise next time.

## When to use

- The user wants a **bedtime story, picture-book video, or read-along**.
- The user wants a story **starring their own child** (name, age, one detail).
- The user wants a **moral tale** — sharing, patience, courage, honesty.
- The user wants a **recurring series** with the same character.
- The user wants a **classroom story** or a calm video for a young child.

Do **not** use this for: frightening content, violence, or anything sexualised — see Notes.

## Steps

### 0. Intake — who is it for, and what is the small lesson

Call `write_todos`: intake → character → story → beats → illustrations → motion → narration →
music → cut → deliver.

Ask at most **three** questions:

1. **Who is the listener?** — age (2–4, 5–7, 8–10) and, optionally, their name.
2. **What is the small lesson?** — one, and only one.
3. **What is the world?** — forest, sea, town, space, a child's bedroom.

Age drives everything: **2–4 needs 6 words per sentence and 8 shots; 8–10 can carry 16 shots.**

### 1. Character — the reason they come back

```
memory_query(query='kids story character, series, child name, previous episodes')
```

A recurring character is what turns one video into a series. Design one and persist it:

```
memory_store(key='kids_character_<slug>', value='<name>; <species/age>; <colour>; <one
signature trait or object>; <world>; <art style>; <voice description>')
```

**One signature trait** — a red scarf, a missing tooth, a tiny lantern. Children need one hook to
recognise the character.

### 2. Story — the simplest possible shape

Five beats, and no more:

| # | Beat | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 日常 | The character is comfortable, doing their thing |
| 2 | 小さな問題 | Something is missing, lost, or blocked |
| 3 | ためらい | They do not want to act. One attempt |
| 4 | 行動 | They try, and it is harder than expected |
| 5 | 小さな学び | It resolves through the lesson — never through luck |

**Length by age:**

- **2–4 years**: 8 sentences, 8 shots, 45–60 seconds.
- **5–7 years**: 12 sentences, 12 shots, 60–90 seconds.
- **8–10 years**: 16 sentences, 14 shots, 90–120 seconds.

Sentence rules that matter: one idea per sentence, present tense, no subordinate clauses, and
**the lesson stated once at the end by the character**, not by a narrator's moral.

Save the script: `create_document(title='<title> — story', content=...)`.

### 3. Illustration plan — one image per sentence

**Every sentence gets exactly one illustration.** A sentence with two images confuses a child;
one image with two sentences rushes them.

```
generate_image(
  model='i2i',
  input_urls=[<character sheet>],
  prompt='children's picture book illustration: <the scene>, the same character with their
  <signature trait>, <palette: warm, 3 colours>, soft gouache texture, friendly rounded shapes,
  no text, <landscape or square>',
  name='P03 — <slug>',
  entity_type='storyboard_images',
  orientation='<landscape|square>'
)
```

Craft rules:

- **Warm, low-contrast palette.** Never harsh saturated primaries.
- **One focal subject per image**; background is gentle and simple.
- **Character faces the action**, and looks toward the next page — it invites turning.
- **Nothing scary, no sharp teeth, no darkness.** Even a "problem" beat is soft.
- Generate a **title card illustration** and an **end card** too.

### 4. Motion — almost none

```
generate_video(
  model='i2v',
  input_urls=[<illustration>],
  prompt='gentle picture-book animation: <one small movement: leaves, water, blink, a leaf
  falling>, very slow, calm, no camera shake, no fast
